Christian Counseling Services What is Christian counseling? I hold very strongly to my Christian worldview and incorporate the love of Christ and Scripture into our sessions. In the safety of God’s loving arms, we are able to see ourselves honestly, confess our needs and sins to God, and savor the healing of redemptive grace. Depending on your comfort level and when deemed beneficial, prayer will be incorporated into the sessions. What services are provided? The psychological services I provide include individual, couples, marital and family psychotherapy. I also assess the need for psycho educational classes or groups and will implement them when deemed necessary. I may also provide limited psychological assessments and testing if necessary in aiding in a diagnosis for referral. Psychotherapy and counseling is not easily described in general statements. It varies depending on the personalities of the counselor and the client, and the particular problems that are being brought forward. There are many different methods I may use to help you to work through problems or issues that you hope to address in session. Counseling is not like a medical doctor visit. Instead, it calls for a very active effort on your part. How do I access the service? Counseling sessions can be schedule by calling (701) 578-5930 or through email at aub4christ@gmail.com. I am often not immediately available by telephone and I will not answer calls when I am with a client however, I will make every effort to return your call to schedule an appointment the same day you call. What does it cost? In order to cover supervision fees and other business expenses my fee is $20 per session. Payment is expected to be rendered at the end of each session in cash or by check. If you are unable to pay this fee we will need to discuss and agree upon a reasonable payment method and fee.
